UNIID-SEA Project Launch

The Universities and Research Councils Network on Innovation for Inclusive Development in Southeast Asia Inc. (UNIID-SEA) is a regional network of higher education and research institutes that facilitate knowledge development, capacity building, and program management towards “Innovation for Inclusive Development” (IID). IID an emerging field of innovation studies and development practice that aims to “reduce poverty and enable all groups of people -- especially the poor, vulnerable and marginalized sectors -- to participate in decision-making, create and actualize opportunities, and share equitably in the benefits of development.” This network organization was born out of a CAD1.2M (PhP47M) grant project supported by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC-CRDI) under the iBoP Asia Program Ateneo School of Government.

UNIID-SEA is currently affiliated with and based in the Development Studies Program of the Ateneo de Manila University (http://www.admu.edu.ph/ls/soss/development-studies).
